The tropical Amazon forest is the richest and is the most diverse of the world; it covers 60% of the Peruvian territory and has incredible beautiful places to see for those of you who are passionate for nature. Puerto Maldonado is a little town of 11,000 inhabitants, the main attraction of the region are the Collpa de Guacamayos (Collpa of the Macaws), el Lago Sandoval (Lake Sandoval) and the Lago Valencia (Lake Valencia), where people will observe a numerous type of animals and botanical species.

The Incas “Amarumayo” (which means “Snake River” called the Madre de Dios River (main the region). The Incas were impress by the greatness of the Amazon that now up to this moment tourists shared the same perspective of this gigantic natural paradise.

In the region of “Madre de Dios” exists more than 1000 types of birds, the Institute of Smithsonian's should have multiplied by three the entire number of insects in the world after having finish studies in this region. Madre de Dios is truly a natural laboratory that has the possibility of showing to the world that the development and nature can come to a harmony. The wealth of the forest is finding in here, we should make use of this with respect, both the nature and the indigenous communities that are part of it.
