DAY 1 (USA/Lima)
Departure to Lima arrived at night. You will be transfer to your Hotel.
DAY 2 (Lima)
We will Visit Colonial Site: “La Plaza de Armas” built with enormous balconies of sculpted wood, the cathedral and the Cloister of San Francisco where you can appreciate the paintings of Zurbaran, Spanish painter. Visit arqueological museums and have a great afternoon visiting the suburbs of Pueblo Libre, Miraflores y Barranco.
DAY 3 (Lima/Paracas/Nasca)
We will departure to Paracas through Pan-American Highway South, which travels all the Pacific Coast. We will also visit the Paracas Bahia and we will take a boat to the Ballestas Island, Natural Reserve where we can find pinguins, pelicans, sea lions, etc. We will also get to see beautiful beaches as well as the National Reserve of Paracas.
DAY 4 (Nasca/Arequipa)
Early in the morning, we will go to the Nasca's airfield where we will be flying on top of the Lineas de Nasca (Nasca Lines). You will be amaze by the size of these gigantic designs that you can only see from the sky. Marie Reiche concluded that these designs were part of a gigantic calendar with various astronomical designs, which were build by the Paracas-Nasca more than 2000 years ago with scientific and religious purposes. We will start our trip to Arequipa.
DAY 5 (Arequipa)
Arequipa (The White City”). Tour the city: Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, old churches and the Yanahuara suburb. We cannot forget to visit the Santa Catalina Convent, a small city built inside Arequipa's city, which built in the year 1580.
DAY 6 (Arequipa/Colca Canyon/Chivay)
We will depart to Chivay, crossing the Canahauasi Pampas and the Agua Blanca reserve (where we are going to see llamas, alpacas, vicunas, etc) close to the Colca Canyon. We will discover a series of abysses of approximately 3000 m. of difference. We will also stop in the crater of Chucura, lookout for the volcanoes, and walk through the valley. We will have a free time to relax and enjoy the Caldera's thermal baths.
DAY 7 (Chivay/Sillustani/Puno)
We will visit the Colca Cannon and the lookout of ' The Cross of the Condor '. Below we will see to the river Colca that winds to approximately 1200 of difference. We will continue our journey to Puno traveling by Imata, one of the highest points of the railroad.
DAY 8 (Puno/Titicaca Lake)
We will go by boat to the Lake Titicaca, which has an extension of 8000 km ² to more than 3600 m. of altitude. Visit the floating island of the Uros (Small Island made of Totora). Our next stop will be La Isla of Amantan (or The Amantan Island) where we will be welcome and lodged by the inhabitants of the island. We will also get to eat, expend the afternoon in the island and finally we will go to sleep in the inhabitants houses.
DAY 9 (Titicaca Lake/Puno)
We will departure to Taquile. We will discover the island where the inhabitants have been able to keep his traditions regardless of the tourist influence. By the late afternoon, we will return to Puno.
DAY 10 (Puno/Cusco)
On our way to Cusco, we will see the sceneries of the Mountain range of the Andes. We will visit Sillustani (an Inca cemetery) as well as the Chullpas (round towers of approximately 12m. of height), Pukara (an artisan town), La Raya (the highest point of the route at 4335m.), Sicuani (typical town of the Andes), Raqchi with their temple dedicated to al Dios Sol (Sun God), Andahuaylillas with their beautiful church. We will arrive to Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire.
DAY 11 (Cusco)
We will go and visit the Empire Inca capital. You will get to see the Plaza de Armas, The wonderful Cathedral, Santo Domingo convent and the Qoriqancha or Temple of the Sun. Visit “Fortaleza de Sacsayhuaman” (last shelter for the Inca Manco), Qenqo, Puka-Pukara, Tambomachay and the Pisaq ruins. We will also get to see the Intihuatana and the magnificent scenery of the El Valley Sagrado (Sacred Valley). Free afternoon to enjoy your visit.
DAY 12 (Cusco/Sacred Valley)
We will have our excursion day to the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley). We will visit Chincheros and his famous market, since the Pre-Inca times until now. This is the place where the inhabitants get together to exchange their different products. We will continue with our tour and get to visit Ollantaytambo, fortress built on top of a mountain right across two valleys, Machupicchu and Cusco.
DAY 13 (Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu/Cusco)
We will go to the train station and ride to the wonderful Machu Picchu, the magic city without a doubt. Machu Picchu is a spectacular Pre-Colombian site of America and one of the most prestigious places of the world. Machu Picchu is a religious sanctuary, last refuge for the Incas, Cusco's mystery still intact.
DAY 14 (Cusco/Lima)
We will be transfer to the Cusco's airport to our way back to Lima. Later in the afternoon, we will departure to the USA.
DAY 15 (France)
You will be back to the USA.
